Akuabah Doll Pattern

Akuaba is a pattern by Li Hertzi based on the beautiful Ashante Sculptures created by the women of Ghana. These dolls are traditionally adhorned with lush jewels, fed, nursed and carried on the backs of women hoping to be blessed by healthy and loving daughters. These are magic dolls! The basic pattern is simple enough for the beginner but can be embellished and used by the expert to create a wildly compled creature, should that be your desire.

This pattern is often taught as a class on DollStreet feel free to hop on the street and take a look at all of the classes offered there: http://www.dollstreetdreamers.com/TheDollShop.htm I hope to see you there!

In the mean time, please go to our order form page and in the ancient technology that our lovely Akuaba would understand, print and mail! I will, I vow, soon get a "real" website!

This doll, when finished is 24" high and can be made to stand when anchored with a heavy bottom or she can be hung on the wall.

Thank you so much!

Li Hertzi
